Last day I was reading the book titled "The Science of Being Well", by Wallace Wattles, an author that I have not heard of until my Kindle recommended me his book.
A great deal of this book is concerned about what to, when to and how to eat. It was intriguing to see how the ideas on the subject were similar to how a Qi-Gong practitioner would eventually do these activities.

Importance of 100 days of Qì-Gong practice to master a form
It is a common saying in Qì-Gong circles that you need at least 100 days of Qì-Gong practice to learn a form, and 1000 days to learn it better. In this article I would like to talk about the meaning of this ancient rule.
Qì-Gong and Taiji: What are they and what is the difference?
The difference is simple Qì-Gong (氣功) is the practice or work (gong) of vital life force. Taiji (太極) is the a philosophical term which defines the state that changes wuji (nothingness) to polarity (Yin and Yang) It is also important to underline the fact that the famous martial art Taiji is the short version to say Taiji Quan (太極拳) literally meaning the Fist of Taji; that is a martial art using the philosophy of Taiji.
How can we classify Qì-Gong styles?
When we start out with Qì-Gong practice we may be overwhelmed by the vast number of styles we come across. Legend goes that there are around 5000 different styles of qì-gong! This is somehow understandable when we consider that qì-gong is a generic term referring to any perseverent practice that helps to move qì (vital energy). Traditionally qì-gong styles are divided into four (I will present them in parentheses). In my opinion this classification also follows the path of a qì-gong practitioner going from beginner to more advanced. That is why I am using my own terms for each style.
Microcosmic Orbit Meditation: Do I need a teacher?
Regardless of which school you come from, if you are a Qi-Gong practitioner one day you will hear of and get intrigued with the Microcosmic Orbit Meditation. I myself do not practice this technique (there are other Nei-Gong meditations that I practice, which I will talk about later in this blog-post). However, since I am so fascinated by all kinds of Qi-Gong, I have read, listened, and watched tons of info on the subject.
Today, writing this blog post, we have reached more than 1 month isolated in our homes. I am sure that many of us find ways to entertain our minds and spend time with pleasure. However, for those who are used to moving and doing a lot of sports, the situation can be quite complicated. The other day I even heard a friend telling me that an acquaintance made the stairs of his block 4 times a day, up and down, to get fit and discharge energy
Qì-Gong is a practice that is at the base of martial arts, especially those from China, such as Wushu, Shaoling KungFu and Taiji Chuan.
People who practice these arts are in good health and their endurance and movements often seem superhuman. However, all of this is thanks to the constant and persevering practice of this oriental technique called Qì-Gong.
Today I want to talk about health benefits of QiGong and in particular how Qi-Gong can help you to quit addictions like smoking, coffee or alcohol.
